16th August 2017 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F6 Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 15 Weather: cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: A day for Heros as Gary lent me a 4.7m North Hero to try in place of my North Ice 4.7m which after 20mins I changed down to my Hero 4.2m as wind picked up. Heros lighter in my hands than other sails, and surprised how well the 4-battens handled strong winds. Waves quite choppy to start with then smoothed as tide rose. One good front side ride and a few crappy ones. Gave up after 2 hours as tired as wind dropping, and it picked back up again as I packed up, maybe too much for 4.2m |
